Sectorial Studies

The documents in the series "Industrial and Technological Structure of the Mexican Sectors" are intended to analyze and create strategic guidelines for Mexican industrial sectors. Although various institutions periodically carry out sectoral analyses, CEC studies have three distinctive characteristics:

  • Prospective approach, where a future vision of the industry is generated and the critical factors to achieve its development are identified.
  • Analysis of technology, a factor that despite being critical for the development of any industry, is frequently ignored by sectoral studies.
  • Industry feedback through extensive fieldwork and meetings throughout the development and review of each study.

The organization of the document allows obtaining a structured view of the main current aspects and trends in the sector.
